the other day I was on the phone with my mom telling her about this place out here that does indoor skydiving (you know all the thrill without all the risk:) my kind of excitement well josh said we can do it for my late birthday present. so anyway matt heard me talking about it and proceeded to start jumping off the couch onto the cushins so i ask him what he is doing and he says to me "i'm practicing skydiving but i want to do outside sky diving instead of inside skydiving" so i told him mommy wont do it outside so we were going to do it inside his reply was "but mom we cant do it inside because if we do it inside we will get everything all wet!" i had to then explain what skydiving was and that it did not include water:) love that boy.

side note: ever since we have had the skydiving talk he has tried to jump off of everything from the couch and bed to the 6 ft high wall outside in the courtyard! the scary thing is he's not even my daredevil (jacob is) i think i may have to get insurance for those two boys i cant take my eye off them for a second. p.s. jacob has started following his brother off the couch.

We finally took updated pictures of the boys. they are growing sooooo fast i cant believe it! so there are several:) and more to come because there are some on josh's phone i dont have access too until he gets off work. We did take these with our cameras on our phones so bare with us:)

I know blogs are more fun with pictures but all i have for you today is a story:)

Matthew came to me the other day and says while he is getting dressed "mom something is poking me in the tummy, i think i must have swallowed a golf ball or somthin!" i turn around because this now has my attention and he is pointing to his sternum, you see the harts have sternums that stick out quite far, this did worry me too at one point when matt was a baby but josh, rick, and grandad all have it so i had to try to explain to a 3 year old what it was, he was ok with it when he found out that all 4 of them have it:)

the other day matt was getting dressed and i told him he could pick out his shirt and that he could wear any of his t-shirts long sleeve or short (he always wants to wear his long sleeve ones) because it was cool out but that he wasnt to wear a sweater or a button up shirt his reply was " oh because they are for church and going to the city" i think we must live in the boondocks more than i thought:)

last night we were going into "the city" and matt says to me "mom wake me up when we get there i'm going to take a little nap" ok said, then when we got close i couldnt tell if he was awake or asleep (i was pretty sure awake) so i asked "matt are you asleep?" his reply "yes" lol i love that kid.

innocent enough

That face looks innocent enough right? well think again! see that smirk he has it means business and keeping mommy super busy!! just today I couldnt hear him which all in itself is bad news which most of you who have kids know. I found him in the pantry playing in flour all over the floor, he saw me open the door looked up at me and closed the door so i couldnt either get mad or see i'm not sure what was going through his head. then he had a 3 hour nap so a good chunk of the day right? 2. he found a cup of dr pepper he does really well with straws so i decided to pick my battles and this wasnt going to be one of them wrong again, i turned around and he was dumping it out of the straw onto the couch and playing in it! then 3. he comes in with a handful of diaper wipes the entire container to be exact! by this time it's only 3 oclock then i turn around from my desk to him ripping a book apart!! oh my i'm in trouble with this one he isnt even 2 yet so i dont know what to blame it on!! good thing he is super cute and knows how to work his momma, he already knows it takes a smile, a kiss and a snuggle and i melt:) love these boys but they sure are making it really hard for me to want any more! lol

matt rides a bike!

Matthew can ride a bike without his training wheels all by himself and he is only 3 1/2 years old! he loves to ride bikes and will ride all day long so we took the training wheels off a couple of weeks ago and he took to it pretty well as long as i helped give him a little push. We went to my parents for a week and he had to leave his bike at home so today he went out to play I happened to look out the window and he was riding his bike I was so excited he didnt need me to help hold the bike while he started or anything! yea matthew we are so proud of you and the accomplishments you make everyday!

jacob found a peach on grandma's table things like this happened often at grandmas since there was always some sort of food on the table:)

we went to visit grandpa at work one day and the boys just had to ride this boat so of course grandma found quarters for them. thanks for letting us stay at your house this week. it made josh's absence a little better, and we had fun with you!

home sweet home

warning: there are a whole lot of pictures on this post:) for all of you who are upset because i never post anymore here you go;). matthew said to me the other day "mom isn't it so good that we are back home where we belong" although we love going on the road and have fun seeing places we wouldnt normally get to see or live it has been a long time since we have been home and it is nice. we were living in an apartment in new york with lots of snow all winter and then in a hotel room for the last 2 months of our job. needless to say we have been living it up in our yard since we've been home and i've put josh to work with my very long honey do list. enjoy the pics

matt loves to help we finally got our front room painted! i love it we have had the paint for it since matt was a baby...he's 3. it looks awesome
jacob is my happy little baby. he loves doing anything matt does and loves his things;)
a little trip to cici's there werent any where we were and the boys love pizza
i bought a little blow up pool for these hot hot days and the boys love it they spend most of the day out there and on the slip n slide
we havent had an oven for about 2 months so we made some brownies when we got home the boys liked licking the batter more than the brownies i think.
this was a long day in the car getting supplies for some of our home renovations, matt didnt even take a bite out of his hamburger before he passed out lol.

playing on the slip n slide with joe and ryan. the boys love living so close to their buddies matt goes and plays with ryan, joe, and mike everyday they do all sorts of fun things

you cant really see it in this pic but jacob likes to drink the water like a water fountain and matt is really getting good at sliding now but as you can see in this pic he mostly ran down the length of the slip n slide and jumped on his butt at the end. (much like how i slide into a base in softball;)
these pictures are from chicago. we stopped there for about 2 weeks before we came home for a little short job. we found this grassy area by the hotel and the boys went out and ran around. it didnt last long because jacob decided the cars on the road looked more fun than his toy cars in the grass.

these are backwards but you can get the picture. Jacob turned 1 may 22 but we were in new york so we waited to have his party till we got home. here he is with one of his presents i'm pretty sure the one he liked the most. at first he was not so sure about the sound it made but they became friends. Ty liked the present too but was also not sure of the weird sound that came out of it.

he finally decides to dig in sort of. mostly he just poked holes in it.
he was pretty excited about the singing we were doing just for him. the cake is suppose to be a ball but we had a little trouble with it lol. it turned into a blob but jacob didnt seem to mind. he is growing up so fast!

favorite movie: i believe at this point is dispicable me he will sit and watch and laugh at that everytime but he likes pretty much anything with lots of color and music. he loves to dance.

favorite toy: he really likes cars and balls but what boy doesnt. he also really likes his monkey that sings and dances, he will follow us around the house and yell at us till we push the button for him then he will dance until the song is over.

Jacob is so much fun to hang around, he loves his brother and wants to do anything he does. he loves the water and is going through a toilet phase, he likes to put anything and everything in it, the latest... a car, a hair clip and josh's toothbrush, luckily i saw that one and was a good wife and informed him before he used it. he doesnt talk very much mostly yeah and uhhu and momma, dadda. he is our pat and pointer, but he's very smart he knows what he wants and how to get it most of the time, he is also such a momma's boy which i love most of the time;) we love you jacob and are so excited for what this next year brings!

my sister lindy had her baby this morning via emergency c-section. both mommy and baby are doing great. no names yet so we will call her baby stack for now. she was about 5 weeks early or so i dont know alot of details at this point, but i do know she was 4lbs. 6oz. and 17 1/2 inches long we are excited to meet you little baby girl:) congratulations to lindy!!

April happenings

alot has been going on in our house this month. we started it off April 9th for Josh's birthday with cupcakes a day at the park with his new wiffle ball and bat that matt got him, matt told me that night it was the best party ever. if i had known that i would have not done so much for his;)
We also celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary on the 13th, no pictures taken.Ryan came over and we decorated cookies for Easter. the boys tried to make them 3D i think, there were alot of sprinkles and icing on and off the cookies.

jacob didnt mind though he thought the cookies were delicious.

this was just a fun pic we took of the boys, we were trying to get dinner ready and jacob is teething so he is super fussy, josh gave him part of matt's popcicle and he loved it.

Easter morning, matthew had soo much fun finding eggs that the easter bunny hid for him and jacob. jacob thought that the "balls" on the floor were fun too, (everything is a ball these days to him) so of course he had to throw it, it fell and cracked open and jelly beans were everywhere, he did a happy dance of course which is a mixture of quick feet, head moving side to side and left hand out to the side and waving back and forth.so fun we loved it.

these are the ties i made the boys. i couldnt find a little boys tie anywhere that i liked that was eastery so i got 2 adult ties and just did my own thing i do think they turned out rather cute if i do say so myself. i also got josh a yellow one that matched the boys.

5 years and counting

I cant believe that we have been married for 5 years!! it's crazy to think about because it's gone by so fast. We have had so many adventures together, lived lots of different places and have had 2 very crazy boys:) i love you josh you are my one constent and we still have so much fun together, here's to many more years of adventures and fun together!:)

spring break

for springbreak my parents and jayse came up to new york to see the boys we use the word spring very loosely;) we went shopping and to the childrens museum which was probably the highlight of the trip. matthew loves the museum and any chance we can go and i think my family enjoyed it for the most part. this is a picture from the crooked room, it is actually pretty hard to walk through and you get very dizzy in there jacob went in and as soon as we turned the corner went "oooo" lol i think it made him dizzy too.

on their last day we went to niagra falls and palmyra we all kinda wished we had just gone to palmyra especially cause it was soooooo cold but it is what it is. this was after we walked up the entire hill which is extremely steep, after we got to the top we saw a parking lot at the top i guess we all got a little bit of a workout;)

here is my family at the falls we have been there before but i lost all my pictures from it.

this is my absolute favorite picture of jacob he is so lovey and was always on someone's shoulders he especially liked my dads cause he had a button on top of his hat that was super tasty i guess;) this was at the childrens museum looking at the aquarium he really likes all the colorful fish.

can you guess which baby is which? one of them is matthew and the other is jacob i promise. and to be totally honest i can only tell because of the blankets in the background. i just was looking through my pictures to find one of matt at nine months and found this one too and thought it would be fun to see if any of you can tell them apart at this age.

this is jacob at 9months here in rochester. i think they have several similarities but several differences as well they are about one in the same personality wise though lol i love them they crack me up everyday. jacob has just learned to say na na na which is no no no and bababa which could either be bottle or just noises and mama and dad he has said at which is matt once but just smiles when we try to get him to say it again. last night he kept saying mama mama mama until i looked at him them would just say babababababa and smile lol he just didnt want to go to sleep then he would throw the ball yell and then clap for himself lol he is learning so fast!

new foods

heres a pic of matthew, i was taking some of jacob and matt thought he needed one too he had food on his face also;)

these arent in order but this was jacobs first time eating baked zitti he eats anything you will let him he loves food! he didnt know what to do with it when it was in the bowl he just picked the bowl up and played with it and looked at for awhile till the food finally fell out then he was happy. so i dont really just throw food on his tray (all the time;) )

they are both getting so big i cant hardly stand it!

jacob loves cheeseballs. on this particular day was super excited to find that dad had left the lid off the mega container!! he didnt even care that he was caught and being taped he was just getting as many cheeseballs in his mouth as he could before we stopped him;)

scripture study and prayers

we have started letting matt "read" a few verses in our family scripture study basically he says what i tell him to say and he loves that part of it, today we were reading and in the verse it talks about when nephi was being shown the things of the world so the verse would say "look" so when i said that word for matt to repeat he actually looked with eyes wide like what am i looking at. lol he did it a couple times it was really hard for me to read without laughing. then in prayers it was his turn to say the prayers, he can say them by himself but gets embarassed if he forgets to say things so he usually wants us to help him, tonight josh told him to say as much as he could by himself and if he needed help to nudge him and he would help him out. so he started to pray and this is sort of how it went..." and please help me to poop in the toilet and when i start to poop in the kitchen to go to the bathroom and poop and pee in the toilet so that i am not naughty and am good too..." oh the innocents of children he is pretty much potty trained but i have to remind him sometimes cause he just doesnt want to quit what he is doing and for some ready really freaks about poop he just doesnt like the stuff at all lol. i love him and he is a constant reminder of how we should be.

matt was playing with one of my weights today and dropped it on his toe it is now super purple and looks as though it will probably fall off. thinking he would think the idea of his toenail falling off would be cool i told him that (he did not think it was cool and freaked even more).

jacob is officially walking he will be 9 months on the 22nd. he has been taking steps for a few weeks now but opts to walk most of the time now and walks long distances so i figure he technically walked at 8 months but is officially walking at 8 months 3 weeks:) i cannot believe it those two get into soooo much trouble together already.( p.s. please dont mind the mess in the background it was laundry day and i hadnt folded it yet)

Matthew turned 3 today! I can't believe how big he is getting. The theme of the night was Toy Story if you couldn't guess from the pictures.

The boys after playing pin the parts on mr. potato head. it really bothered matt when the boys didnt put the parts where they were suppose to go he kept moving them to the correct spots lol.

hitting the pinata. josh made this and spent all week on it. the boys all got a few at bats with this thing before the big boys got involved. finally when nobody could break it grandpa rick got involved at kicked it with the toe of his cowboy boot. it finally got a small enough hole to rip it. that thing did not want to break. but it looks good and the boys really liked what was inside it:)

matt: hey mom you and dad are going to get married in a couple weeks
me: well sweetie me and dad are already married
matt: oh well you need to have flowers to get married
me: well we did have flowers
matt: oh well i want to get married
me: well when you are older like daddy you can get married

winter fun

ever since we went sledding the other day that is all matt can talk about so we decided to go again today although it was not as warm today as the other day. these hills were way better and bigger matt had a blast with the brady kids.(jacob not so much, he cried the whole time) the last picture is of uncle jayse with his boys we made shirts for them to wear to his ball game that said stack attack they looked super cute! and a side note jacob took his first steps yesterday he will be eight months old on the 22nd.

We finally got snow boots and snow clothes so we could play in the snow today! matt was in heaven and jacob couldnt have cared less. (he was to bundled up to even move) we played with the Brady's and matt loved playing with the big kids, ryan and matt went down together on the snow disc,matt was so sad when we came in, i told him we couldnt sled anymore because it was dark, his resonse was that he wanted to play in the dark. lol we will probably be going out in the snow alot more now.

End of the year update

These pictures are a little late getting posted but still before christmas. Matt had so much fun decorating the tree this year and jacob loved eating the decorations;) matt will look at our tree every day and say "mom our tree looks sooooo good huh?" lol he cracks me up. so here is our year update for anyone who wants to read along.

January-we found out that matt was going to have a baby brother! and josh started working doing the foreclosure cleanouts.

February-matt turned 2 on the 5th

March-nothing really big happened

April-josh and i celebrated our 4th anniversary and softball season started

May-Jacob Michael Hart joined us on the 22nd 3 minutes till midnight weighing in at 9lbs 8 0z and measuring 23 inches.

June-josh started working in st louis 31/2 days a week so we stayed at my parents during the week

July-blessed Jacob on the 4th of July and left for Hilton Head for a 2 week job. (vacation for me and the boys) me and matt stayed in the pool whenever we could.

August- left for josh's family reunion and had an accident almost totally our car the rest of the trip was pretty uneventful after that;)

September-got a new car and headed off for New York

October-not alot happening except for getting aquainted with the area up here and halloween matt was buzz lightyear and jacob was a monkey.

November-jacob started crawling and pulling himself up and walking around the furniture all within about a 1-2 week time period. my parents came up for a visit for thanksgiving!

December- just getting ready for christmas matt is pretty excited this year. Jacob started standing on his own as of today and will be 7 months tomorrow. matt as of today is almost completely potty trained! whoohooo

weighed the boys today matt is 31 lbs and jacob is 17 lbs they both are getting so big and so fun. jacob loves his brother and visa versa they love to play together all the time. miss you all and love you hope your christmas and holiday season is a great one!

This pictures was not frombowling obviously just thought it was cute it was jacobs first actual bath in the tub not the sink cause he could finally sit and he loves it!:)

We all went bowling one saturday and had a blast they had a thing for the boys to use so they could bowl by themselves

matt tried bowling with out the device he finally made it to the end without getting a gutter ball (they had bumpers) but he was going so slow even though he hit pins they didnt knock over :) lol he loved it.

Christmas card pictures

My mom and dad are here from Missouri for Thanksgiving so I took advantage and had her take some pictures of the boys for our Christmas cards this year, I think they turned out quite good:) we just went to this little park next to our house and these are just a few that we didnt have to fix to make work;) i love these boys and they are getting so big. matt is crazy as ever and loves his brother to pieces and jacob is learning to stand, he can pull himself up now using the table or anything sturdy close enough to the ground for him to use, he still falls but is getting very good ad it.

Strong national museum of play

Saturday we went to Strong National Museum of Play, in Rochester. They have a museum of toys which was fun for Josh and I and also his parents not so much for the boys but then downstairs was a whole area to play in they had a minature grocery store that matt could shop at and put his groceries on a minature belt and check out all by himself, they also had a carousel and train that they rode, the big boys built block buildings, we went to bear country where the berenstein bears live and got to play there, sesame street was there and matthew was able to be on tv with elmo, the count, abby, and another character where they did different things matt loved elmo the best and sang the abc's with him, he couldnt take his eyes off the tv he was so interested, then he got to be on tv and be a weather man. there was much much more that we did there but i only got a few pictures it was so fun we spent several hours there and could have spent way more, we ended up getting a pass so we can go back all winter, it will be a good outlet for matt and jacob (they have stuff for all ages and sizes) on yucky winter days.

i cant believe he is crawling already!! although he's not really crawling he rocks and then pounces:) but he gets around non the less. Jacob also has 2 teeth on the bottom and loves them, they are sharp little suckers and he loves to chew on fingers. of course i had to get pictures of matt because i had the camera out, he has become quite the ham and always wants to take pictures which is quite the opposite from just a month or so ago, so being the big brother that he is he held jacob for a group pic then jacob spit up on him and this was the reaction, i couldnt help it:) it would have been much better if i got a video.

this year for halloween matthew went as buzz lightyear, he is obsessed with toy story he was so excited when he got his costume he had to put the whole thing on and go across the hall to show grandma and grandpa, then almost everyday till halloween he would wear his buzz wings and run around the apartment saying "to infiniti and beyond" or " buzz lightyear to the rescue" he and ryan had so much fun at the trunk or treat just chasing eachother around i dont know that they would have even cared to go trick or treating, amy and i had to practically drag them out of the church from playing:) jacob was as cute as can be as a monkey this year he didnt really care either way about halloween but i found this costume and of course had to dress him up:)

I cannot believe how big both my boys are getting! they are so fun and keep me busy allllll day long. Jacob is about to cut his first tooth anyday now and we are hoping that is soon so he goes back to his happy self. He loves his brother soooo much and matt can always make him smile. matt is always full of energy and fun we love him and he loves to help.

Well we are finally in New York, well we have been here for several weeks but i'm just now posting:) the first pictures are from wickham farms it is a pumpkin patch that has all sorts of cool things for the kids to do matt had a blast and jacob well he didnt care much either way. i cant believe how big my boys are getting. matt loves his brother and visa versa jacob will be screaming ( he is teething) and matt will walk into the room and "check on him" and jacob will be as happy as can be. it is starting to get cool here we are lucky when we have low 60's matt is going crazy being stuck in a little apartment cause it's been raining but on nice days we can go and get his energy out. the last picture is from the lake on the first week we were here all matt wanted to do was go swimming or go back to the lake and throw rocks in. more pictures to come.

this was jacobs first 4th of july he didnt really care much either way. matt had a blast with the water guns that terriann brought. food and fireworks were fun but matt didnt really like the loudness from the fireworks but did like to look at them. then sunday we left for hilton head for a couple of weeks matt loves being here because we see josh more since we stay at the hotel and loves loves loves the pool and the beach, they also have paths here so he can ride his bike that grandma ann and grandpa mike found him.

michelle and her kids came to town this week and the boys and i were at my parents house while josh was in st. louis, and laura was here with her boys so we decided to go to rutledge-wilson farm for the day. it was super hot but the kids had so much fun there were a bunch of terriann's relatives there with their kids matt didn't really want to get to close to the animals but he thought they were cool and keeps telling me we need to go back. after the farm we went to michelles and hung out literally all night:) i'm not really able to do that i think i'm still recovering from no sleep. the bottom pics are from sunday night before josh went up to st. louis he brought home some jumbo marshmellows these things were huge! matt loves them though he's not a big fan of smores because they are hard to eat and super messy he would rather just eat everything seperate.

Jacob was born on the 22nd at 11:57 pm weighing in at 9.8lbs and 23 inches long! he is a very happy baby but does have his nights and days mixed up right now;) yea for me;( Matt loves his baby and loves to help me with everything and doesnt like it when i have to feed him by myself. he gives him lots of hugs and kisses and always wants to pick him up so i have to watch carefully if i leave him on the floor. matt is also ready for him to beable to play and lets jacob play with the tennis balls;)

matt finally got his new big boy bed, he was very excited about it he didnt want either of us to sit on it well that was until the lights went out and we left the room, then he insisted that i lay with him:) i do love him. we also got our addition almost completely finished this is a pic of matt telling me to sweep while he scraped the mud off the floor:) the room is now painted and has carpeting in it we get to move into it tomorrow!

we went to the springfield cardinal game last friday he loves being with the big boys and thinks he is one of them uncle jayse got him a foul ball and he was pretty excited about it. he talked about the game all day long and made me put his cardinal stuff on first thing in the morning. the day was rainy but cleared up for the game until the very end it went into extra innings and the cardinals ended up winning whooohoo go cardinals!

4 years ago today Josh and I got married:) i cant believe how fast it's gone by! and how far we have come. we have a 2 year old who is fun loving and cant even explain how much we love him and another energetic one on the way and cant wait to meet him. i love you josh, cant wait to spend 4 more years together:)(and then some;)

We got to go fly kites the other day and matt thought that was amazing it flew in the air like a plane he said and it did circles:) they are so fun at this age. matt did dress himself it is not cold outside but for about 2 days he wore that silly hat everywhere including bed:) i love my little man.

Happy Easter everybody!! we had so much fun this year, matt was old enough to do alot of things. easter egg hunting was a blast once he figured out what was inside the eggs he got so excited everytime he found a new one all i kept here was "another one mom!!" we went to grandma and grandad harts after conference and the boys all had a blast there were over 100 eggs for the 5 of them most of them were just scattered on the ground:) we also got to decorate eggs this year and he thought that was a blast, he did pretty good at dunking them and with some help getting them out but getting them on the pan to dry was another story:) daddy even got in on the action with a multi colored egg, which matt thought was the coolest so he grabbed one of his and dunked it again trying to do the same thing:)

I also had to make cupcakes for the dinner we had on easter sunday, matt loves helping me cook or bake when i do and loves the rewards of helping when i'm all done:)

Matthew had a birthday on the 5th and turned 2!! we had wes spend the night for their first sleepover, it was a success, matt had a tractor cake which he was super excited about. After cake and presents we went roller skating because it was also cousin joe's birthday too everyone had a blast matt was a little tired so he didnt last very long but wes skated all night! he even skated by himself and didnt want any help. after cake and presents the little boys played with matthews new toys and the big boys played with the tractors and cake i think they had more fun than the little boys but boys will be boys reguardless:)

Matt decided that he was going to help us paint last night without us knowing. This was the outcome of that episode luckily it only got on clothes and body parts:) no furniture or carpet.

Update: i am 23 weeks along and definately feeling it this time, this baby does not move as much as matt but when he does i sure feel it he really gets some feeling into it. he moves the most when i'm holding matt and matt is talking.

Well I dont have the internet right now but i will have it tomorrow so i cant post pics until then. Matt so much fun on christmas and we had so much fun watching him. he stayed up until after midnight playing with grandma and grandpa and the wii. we went to the doctor today and found out we are having another boy!!! so matt will have a brother, he is due May 21st and it couldnt come sooner! i'm not as big as i was with matt but this baby sits super low unlike matt who liked to hang out in my rib cage most if not all the time and hurts when i bend over most of the time but i suppose this too shall pass. we dont have any names picked out but have 4 1/2 months to do that matt thinks we should name the baby ferb after phineas and ferb the cartoon which at the moment is his favorite for what reason i dont know:) lol. pictures to come!

Matt loves to wear "his" towel which are the smaller hand towels and he likes to wear it like daddy:) he is so fun and is growing so much and learning so much.

the other day matt kept saying something and i couldnt understand him this doesnt happen all the time but enough and i usually can figure out what he's saying eventually. well i figured out he was saying baby einstein he wanted to watch his movie it sounds nothing like baby einstein so i was trying to help him to say it right by saying one word at a time as you can see he can say both but when you put the two words together it goes back to the original version. gotta love it :)

Matt learned how to swim! he wasnt a big fan of the water this summer but i brought his life jacket down to hilton head. Wes came down to swim with us and matt watched him a couple of times and was just like i think i can do that i guess cause he just jumped in and started swimming:) he can swim from one end of the pool and back long wise and will swim for hours then he takes a great nap or if i prefer goes to bed on time instead of midnight:)

this is matts favorite book ever! he will sit on the bed and read it to himself but prefers to be read to but knows what most of the things are now without coaxing him. he still thinks we are saying mommy instead of mummy though and i guess can't see the difference:) so he thinks a mummy says "no,no,no" gotta love little kids.

in an update matt is talking a ton now i think i must give credit to wes since we've been around him matt has really gotten good. some of the funny things he says...

1. one day we were cleaning (matt loves things clean) and we got the room all clean then i dumped the clean clothes on the bed to fold and he looked at me shocked and said "oh momma! mess!" i said i know matt momma made a mess so i will clean it up then he replied "k" as if to say oh you better.

2. he is obsessed with poop right now or the word anyway so he is always telling me somebody went poopoo lately the person has been tenninannn poopoo all one word translation "terriann poo poo" sorry terriann i dont know why.

3. matt will say almost anything we ask him right now or attempt to anyway except for the life of me i cannot get him to say sorry! i dont know why but he just looks at me like um i cant talk i dont know what you are expecting me to do.

4. he has decided he likes the word dangit but he must always bang his fist on something so he will run with his fist in the air till he gets to a table, couch,chair ect and then say dangit.

5. matt is really into baseball or actually all sports right now. the world series is on so we of course have it on in our room, josh changed the channel during commercial and matt got so made at him and kept say no dad baball baball dad till he turned it back, and he gets so into the game he will cheer and yell dangit (fist pounding all the while) he is so funny to watch of course i am a little partial:)

They had trick or treating in a shopping center here in Hilton Head so we decided to take the boys to "practice" trick or treating:) they had fun i think anyway wes was a cute little dragon ryan was a cute little vampire or dracula and matt was my little mummy:) our friend mary got to go with us and Laura (one of matts grandma's) and i'm pretty sure they had fun too. matt got really tired by the end but managed to get a few trick or treats out and of course thank you's. then they had a costume contest the other boys werent there but matt won first place! yea for cute little mummy costumes. josh and i made it the night before and i finished it today:) it was so much fun we'll see how saturday goes hopefully not as hot, today we were all a little sweaty:)

this picture is in hilton head, we went out to eat last night and got wings matt decided he was done with his mac and cheese and took this off my plate and just started eating, of course he was done when he licked all the sauce off. this is also his "big smile"

matt loves animals and is not affraid to feed them at all. we stopped to get gas on our way to hilton head and they had a petting zoo, yes at the gas station, so we bought some food for matt to feed the animals it took no coaxing on our part matt went right up and fed the animals there was goats, geese, an emo, donkey, bull, and a llama he fed the llama geese and goats but we ran out of food before he could feed the donkey but he did get to pet it.

For some reason these were added backwords but this is matts first time carving pumpkins. he didnt really like feeling the insides all that much but i think it is because it was messy and he doesnt like his hands messy:) but he loves putting his hand in the pumpkin now that it is cleaned he was so excited to light it too everynight. he is so much fun now that he is talking, he cracks us up all the time.

matt had so much fun playing in Utah between the jungle gym adn cousins and papa i had so many fun pictures and videos i had to just choose 2. the first video is from the temple he thought this trick was so cool he just kept climbing up and jumping. the second is at the airport on the way home he wanted to push he just kept saying either "mama push push" or "gaga push push" depending on who had the suitcase me or my mom. then if you asked if he wanted help he would shake his head no and matter of factly say "no" he was so cute. the first trip to the airport we had a long layover but lucky for us matt is obsessed with escalaters:) he just kept going up and down and down and down and up:) so much fun! we all had a blast in utah but were glad to come home and see josh, also to rest we played way to hard in utah:)

So we bought this house in may of 2007 and were gone for most of the time we've owned it:) it had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms a living room, eat in kitchen and a pantry/utility room. we decided it was tooo small! matt's room is also used as the office and gym:) not much room for matt and definately not any room if we were to have another one, so since we have a little bit of down time we decided to expand just one room but another room non the less:) it will make a big difference for now and later we can add on the rest of the house. Rick has been very good to help us and put the guys to work so thank you rick, neil, todd, nate, mike, and joe and of course my good husband who listens to me complain about how small our house is even though it was technically my idea to move here(he does remind me of that everytime i complain) they have also worked on my front yard and have gotten rid of alot of crap and it looks sooooo much better it is starting to look like the home i was hoping to someday have. the first picture is of our house originally not to pretty but very cute if you look past that color. About the beginning of the summer neil, the two boys, rick and laura came down one saturday and we painted all day and it is now a very nice color of blue with white trim and will eventually have white shudders on the windows and a pretty flower garden:)(someday)

Here they are putting on the room (framing it out) matt has been in heaven because he gets to "help" and papa is here alot along with "neneil" (neil) , grandma and the boys.

This was putting up the roof and the one below is of the roof on and walls up! also of josh and nate trying to fix the electricity that was cut (by accident) to our garage .

This is the back side to show the room a little better it will be the office/gym/storage and someday possibly a bedroom we arent for sure yet. but at this point i dont care i'm just excited to have extra space so my house doesnt feel so cluttered and cramped! hopefully there will be more pictures to come!!!;)

We went to the lake yesterday with the Hart family and had a blast. the boys love going to the lake and playing with eachother. Wes is quite the little swimmer and was just all over the place by himself! he did not want any help, ryan loves the water too and was playing with everyone and matt mostly had fun playing on the boat:) he was ok with the water but he liked jumping off the dock and driving the boat the most.

Easter was super fun this year matt actually was old enough to know what was going on. It started off with the easter bunny and his basket that he discovered, he pulled it down and everything fell out, that was super exciting for him he just jumped around ;) plus was excited to see that the "balls" as he calls them had candy in them. then we went to grandma adams for easter lunch and then hurried back to the hart get together where the boys had an easter egg hunt they caught on quickly and had so much fun matt was excited once more to find candy in the eggs which was very distracting while he was still trying to find eggs:) of course then he had so much sugar in him he took about an hour power nap and was up till 1:30 in the morning with a sugar high! :(

Hilton Head

Amy found a little center for kids that has all sorts of fun things this was in the art department he had so much fun finger painting he thought he would try some:)

This was in the same place they had a whole area for role playing with costumes there were several different themes but matt enjoied the airplane the best.

The other day the guys went to the park to play softball, we found a little play ground for wes and matt they had so much fun on the slides i was surprised because matt would go climb up the stairs and go down the slide by himself!

Well one day i got matt out of the tub a little before he was done i guess:) course he wasnt happy at me for taking the picture as you can tell by his expression.

This one looks worse than it actually is i just had to post a picure so you could see how pitiful he looks:( he had really bad allergies down here and it gave him asthma and since you cant give him an inhaler this is what you have to do for babies. it was every 4 hours but only for 5 minutes. he didn't like it and would scream but by the end of it he would just sit there and sulk.

Matthew has decided to go into the family business. we are lucky enough to get to use the suites that the guys are working on for our living space and have the adjoining room to sleep in so we don't eat, sleep and live in the same rooms this time around. the thing about this is that the guys are in there working, matt loves this because he thinks he is one of the big boys:) he loves to be where the action is and "help". the last couple of days they have been laying tile and painting, so today matt decided to help grandpa in the room and this is how we found him no body showed him what to do this is just from him observing:) he also has taken the trowl and rubbed it along the carpet like grandpa does on the concrete he is such a big boy:) i however was not ready and could not get the "concrete" on tape. matthew does not always help so well he has gotten into the paint, dry wall mud and the wet concrete which had his foot prints and little bum imprinted for a short time lucky for us grandpa fixed it. he is not alone in this though wes loves the tools too i'm told he has learned to turn some of them on:) smart little boys!! i think we need to get them some newland shirts and let em go to work!

We are back in Hilton Head again! we were so glad to see those of you we got to see and are sorry we didn't get to see those of you we didnt. josh's mom is doing good and back in her own home living with tiffany way better than any of us expect, so we are thankful for that. on our way back to hilton head we stopped for breakfast at mcdonalds so matt could run and stretch his little legs. this is how he reacted on the slide. he thought it was the greatest thing but was scared to go down:)

In the hotel room matt has learned to slide off the bed all by himself then recently he has learned that he can climb from the bed to the night stand which usually has drinks or something really cool on it;) i'm not sure which he is trying to do here but this is how i found him when i came out of the bathroom. he was not pleased that i took a picture before saving him from this dreadful position.

Merry Christmas to everyone!! hope you all had a wonderful one! we had so much fun with matt this year. Santa left him a rocking horse and it scared him a little because it makes noise:) but he warmed up to it. He loved his sock and of course as you can see he got a little quad he loves that mostly he climbes on it and pushes it around the house. one day it was nice and we took him outside on it and taped the button down for him and he thought that was the best thing ever!! he is such a boy;)

Matt loves to "drive" he gets so excited when you put him on your lap in the car and he gets to move the steering wheel! (while the car is in park obviously) he even goes as far as to try to move the shifter:) and now he has recently discovered how to make car noises (sort of). I took him to the outlet mall the other day and let him get in one of the cars he had so much fun he didn't want to leave and now gets sooo excited whenever he sees them. So today we were bored and went out to the outlet mall again and i decided to let him ride one:) that was, as you can see the best thing ever!!

Matt got his first band-aide worthy owie the other day. We were at the pool and it is tiled all around which is not smart but hey we are in puerto rico after all the kiddie pool is also above ground but is square so there are sharp edges(again not smart) anyway he likes to play outside of the pool just as much or maybe more than inside the pool. needless to say it was wet and he slipped and fell right smack dab on the corner right in the middle of his forehead. He was a trooper though I think he cried more out of irritation that I was trying to clean it off with a towel than the hurt:) then we got home I cleaned it up and we of course only have huge oversized band-aides because well his daddies owies are alot bigger than matts would be;) so since I didn't want to go buy a bunch of band-aides just for the one owie I just used the oversized ones which made it look a lot worse than it actually was. I may have gotten a few concerned looks. oh well what can we say it is in his blood i'm sure this is the first of many.

Well I haven't posted in a while so i thought i'd give it a try:) my computer is sooooo slow it drives me crazy! plus matt hates it when i pay attention to anything but him. He is 9 months and a couple weeks now and it seems like the first nine months with him went alot slower than these 9! not fair! but i love every minute of being with him (well most of the time:) he is so fun and is walking all over the place now, he is into everything! he likes to get in the closet and pull out the shoes he gets so excited when i leave the door open on accident (the biggest smile ever!) he also apparently likes to help with the laundry the other day i looked over and he was carrying a big armful of laundry (that he got out of the basket) around the room. he is now at the stage where he likes to do whatever we are doing and since he has six teeth i decided to try out brushing them, well it actually went pretty well:) he sits pretty good for me when i brush them and then i let him hold the tooth brush, that is his favorite and now anytime i am brushing my teeth he wants to do his too:) the next picture i have on here is just one of him one day when he woke up from a nap (it is usually like this if he gets a good enough nap) i love it when he first wakes up he looks at me like i am his best friend ever so i savor those moments:) love you all and cant wait to come home!!

Happy Halloween (early) we got matt a tigger costume since he is such a tigger but i will post those pictures later. I guess technically 18 hours but they sent me home the first time because i was not dialated enough and i came back 6 hours later when my water broke so total time in the hospital was 12 hours.

when he wakes up and just smiles at me:) plus all the funny little noises he makes and how excited he gets when he discovers something new or does something that we praise him for:)

11. What is your least favorite thing?

poopie diapers and teething!!

12. Do you want more kids?

yes eventually but i'm in no rush right now anyway:)

13. How many times have you been peed on?

only a couple i think he pees on himself more than anything

14. What is the longest you have been away from your kid?

a couple of hours when i go on a date with my husband. (josh doesn't want to leave him all night yet:)

15. Are the kids named after someone?

his middle name is after josh and grandpa and great grandpa

16. When baby is napping, you are?

napping or working out sometimes talking on the phone to my mom or on the internet(but usually napping)

17. One thing you will not give up just because you're a mom?

dates and doing stuff for me (pampering)or just playing

18. One thing you did give up because you're a mom?

not really anything, i got really lucky with this one (however now that he's teething he isn't sleeping through the night always anymore)

17. If I could do it over, i'd do this differently...

I would have gotten in shape before i got pregnant because it is a killer to get down after the baby comes not to mention you have a lot less time to workout.

18. What is a lesson you have learned as a parent?

well i'm still learning but my patients has gotten alot better:)

what a Be"dae"

So for those of you who don't know what a bedae is (or however you spell that) it is next to the toilet and shoots water up when you sit on it to help clean you off after you use the toilet. they are very popular in Europe so they have them all over here. Matt learned how to turn it on the other day when i was in the shower and thinks it is the funnest thing to play with:) so i videoed it for you all:)

WALKING!!!

Matthew learned how to walk!! he is walking much better now and obviously during the day when he isn't tired he doesn't cry everytime he walks either. We have tried getting a better video but he is such a ham and likes to pose for the camera or try to get it so this is the best we can do for now.

Beach and Sunsets

We went to the beach again the other night and the sunset was gorgeous! though we didnt stay long because matt was done and didnt want to be in the water or the sand.

Biggest Loser

So i have been in Puerto Rico since the middle of September and will be gone for several months and I decided when I came home I was going to be a new person. Thinner, stronger, and more domestic. I live with Amy who is a personal trainer and she has been helping me. So far I have cooked every meal except for 3 times and I have started working out. We don't have cars here this time so that does help a little on the weight loss because I have to walk everywhere, but since I've been here I have lost 9 lbs!!! so yea for me I thought since this is my own blog I could toot my own horn:) and I am proud of myself for sticking with it I only have 36 more lbs to go for my goal weight and am well on my way to a healthier me:)

Puerto Rico

We arrived in Puerto Rico on Friday and the very next day we were at the beach(no surprise there) Matt really liked the sand on the beach but is a little weary about the water still, he loves swimming but the ocean is a little different than a pool.

Bath Time

Cookies and Cake. I think maybe he has a little Adams blood in him:) he does as you can see like to hold the food himself. He loves to eat whatever we are eating and even more so now that he has 4 teeth.
